It's just fucking ironic that a feminist woman wold write that novel while living in the society that she happened to have lived in. In writing her "doomsday scenario" of what happens if the far left loses, she created a kind of mirror image of what she stands for.

Feminist films do this all the time. For instance, Kill Bill better describes what happens to men whose wives destroy their lives and steal their children. But it's written from the context of female victimhood. It's almost difficult to suspend disbelief because it the genders are all mixed up. If it were the other way around, the setup of Kill Bill would be an all-to-familiar metaphor.

Now here we have a novel that describes a world where women's reproduction are controlled by men, where they can be imprisoned on the whims of men, etc.. Swap the genders and you have something a little closer to the reality.

The marxists always project, and feminists are no different. It's just sometimes jarring how oblivious they are to it.

Seriously consider the concept of Handmaid's Tale, but with the genders swapped, and the government something more like a neo-marxist nanny/welfare state. Men are routinely imprisoned and totally disenfranchised from universities, jobs, and even voting. They are enslaved to produce capital for women and to be "sperm donors". Sound a bit more familiar??

Both scenarios sound entertaining. The show hints at false flag attacks and a coup to overthrow the government. It would be cooler if they played that out more in the show in order to elaborate on how they got to where they are at currently. They do say the major branches of government were wiped out by a bombing etc. and it rather quickly slips into a morphed form of theocracy/police state.
