Isn't "what you said is bigoted but I didn't say you were" just weaseling?

An Engineer ?

:shifty:
Yeah, I don't get it either. Architects don't design bridges. An "exterior decorator"?
Well, my response was a double entendre, Yes Engineers design bridges not Architects, and yes, Engineers can be kinda Gay.

Architects deal with the design of things humans use, broadly, I think the term fits fine for a person who designs bridges, they might also be an engineer, or they might work with an engineer. If I had said build instead of design, you two jokers might have a point.

Don't hurt yourselves trying too very hard to be pedantic.

edit: http://www.designboom.com/tag/bridge-ar ... nd-design/

I assume if the term 'bridge architecture' exists, an architect can be said to have designed at least one.

Among the shady poker world I used to run in, it was pretty standard to say racist things all the time, so long as you said them about each race. This was done with and towards minority people at the table, and it was never thought that the person themselves was a racist. It's just a rougher sense of humor.

There's value in this, which I fear is being lost. Laughing about outrageous things is the easiest way to disarm them. See: Lisa Lampanelli comedy shows, Goodfellas, etc.
That kind of humor goes over much better in person, or at least with people you know very well. I'm not talking about humor, just the opposite in fact, when someone is utterly humorless about their trigger subject. Someone jumps into a thread and calls me anti-semitic, then when I say that I'm Jewish too, he calls me an internalized anti-semite, which is code for any American Jew who doesn't wholeheartedly support the occupation. Note, the subject of my comment was not politics but traditional Jewish food!!

Hanarchy Montanarchy, so what IS the punchline?
We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

Damn. I was hoping it was something clever I didn't see. Why? It's not like we call every straight dude a pussyhound rather than acknowledge their profession.
