I'm not trying to quit. I know better. Lose one habit, gain another. I'm shooting for getting as close to smoking as I can, which is why I went for a tobacco flavor. Plus, I hate flavored dip. It kills me that Copenhagen went with Skoal and started making flavored Cope. Sometimes I have to go to three different stations to get regular Cope, because it's sold out and the owners don't get that Cope dippers don't want the flavored shit. I guess that's something I don't have to deal with anymore.TheReal_ND wrote:I like the tobacco flavored ones with high nicotine point but they say if you're trying to quit smoking then you should get different flavors and scale back. I'm not going to get crazy with my rig though. I knew guys that spent too much money on it. Does seem like a cool hobby to tinker with though once you get into mods.

Yeah, a little bit out of the bottle has lasted three nights. This is definitely a savings. Being that I only do it at night when I'm drinking, it's gonna be alright.Smitty-48 wrote:I get a 30ml bottle of navy cut flavored from the hipsters at my local vape store, for $15 CAD, so $12 USD, that 30ml bottle lasts me a month, so I think 140ml should last you longer than a month.
Savings is good. I've got guns to buy.

I like kodiak wintergreen or cope long cut. The bourbon is all right though. I'm smoking American spirits though. Great cigarettes but after you get used to them everything else is shit. Problem is, they are expensive. At least they last longer though. Anyway yeah I'm going back to vape. I had managed to "quit" for a couple months by just vaping.

I use nicotine sporadically. I'll go through a dip phase ever 2 or 3 years, for a couple months. I smoke like 100 fags per year.
Like the vape though. I kept poaching my wife's, which helped her to quit smoking. She finally got me me own. I can go a few days without using it, but other days puff away. I like the less sweet flavors, as a rule.
Drives me crazy to see the PSAs against vaping. I'm sure it's better to not do it, but these are the people who pretend that smoking is worse than the khemer rouge. Vaping is a great way to quit smoking, and yet they're still against it.

It's worth switching to vaping just on cost alone, and I love vaping just for denying the government the tobacco tax revenue, that's what makes vaping cool to me, cigarettes are no longer edgy, all you're doing is killing yourself to fund the nanny state, the biggest shame for me when I was smoking, was not the smoking, but the fact that I was being chumped for all that tax, up here, with the tobacco and sales taxes, you're talking almost 50% tax in the price of a pack.

I use the Kamry K1000 Plus E-pipe. I like the balance better than the e-ciggs.

It worked for me.Okeefenokee wrote:I quit smoking last year, and have since only been dipping cope. Copenhagen runs about seven bucks a can here, and at a can a night, that's running me over two hundred a month. To save money, and avoid the inevitable cancer, I made the decision to switch to vaping. They have fake dip, but it's shit. If you're gonna replace a vice, it has to be similar to what it's replacing.
I got this thing.

It's been alright. Much cheaper. I got a honey tobacco fluid with enough nicotine to make it similar to smoking.
So, I'm one of those vape fags now.
I vaped about 6-9 months, eventually weaning myself off until I just stopped it all. I would recommend changing to a flavor that is as far from tobacco as possible, then, when you invariably pick up a cheat cig it will be disgusting.

I'm going cold turkey at the moment, about 5 days in. Mainly because of the cost of smoking, I've not had any hash for a couple of months either. If I can't cope with the withdrawals I will try vaping but I'd rather just stop if I can. I might return to smoking pot in pipes later. If I get short tempered in the next few weeks you'll now why.

Re: Bro, do you even vape?
I tried to stop smoking before, several times, sometimes for years. I never got rid of the longing for a smoke, until now. The vaping took over the urge so now, when I long for nicotine I have no urge for a cigarette. For the first time in 30 years I don't feel like it would be nice with a smoke.

I really don't get the obsession with tobacco. To me it's pretty nasty. I hate that smell. But if vaping makes you stop putting all those carcinogens in your system, then I guess it can't be all bad.
