I don’t think yesterday went very well for the prosecution.
Except for one real moment a few days ago, the Defense hasn't had to lay out a case at all, the Prosecution has done it for them quite well.
Almost makes you think they're not really trying to win, doesn't it?

I think everyone understands at this point no matter what the verdict the city will be in flames.
Who knows what the jury will do but it looks like guilty verdict is very far from a slam dunk.

I agree the cities will burn no matter what. Just another reason for companies to go full remote. If you think the inner cities are bad now....just wait until business pull out of the cities. Lol third world hell holes is what they will be come. Hell they’re not far off now. The suburbs will see a big rise in crime, major sports will see a big impact as people will be hesitant on attending. It will be a train wreck, not to mention the coming corporate real estate collapse.
There is a time for good men to do bad things.

For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

The feminists, minorities & weirdos don't even see it coming: my DIL, who was over for my son's birthday, was complaining that Heath and "his dad" (me) keep saying the economy is going to crash, in her condescending voice. And there's dorks like Scott Adams who brags about how the Biden economy has made him richer than he's ever been (broadcasting while locked in his house in CA). There's no hint of a brewing catastrophe anywhere except videos on YouTube and this forum. Nobody mentions the standoff in Russia or the South China Sea, and they look at me as if I'm paranoid if I even bring it up. Jesus, I can't imagine what these people are going to do when SHTF?

This is why I stopped listening to Scott Adams, I can't watch him and take him seriously. I want to remember him for his Dilbert comics... and that's all. There is a point in time where he needs to shut up and draw...

Sure he has freedom of speech, but there is a point in time where he is going to lose the fame or realize he is only popular because of the haters, and not real fans.

Remember the alarm bells in 2007? No, there weren’t any. Then it was ‘just a hiccup’, then ‘so obvious’.
We’ve seen this show before.

Again, there were alarm bells, most people ignored them because people were living in a "comfortable setting"....

Yes there was Alarm bells in 2007 and a big public one in early 2008....remember those stimulus checks?! That was a huge indicator that there was something massive going on under the surface. That’s when my antenna went up but everyone around me thought that I was crazy.

I mean, by Q4 2007, the jig was already up. I’m referring to Q1/Q2 when we had the rip-roaringest economy ever and nothing would ever stop it.

there has actually been a deflationary spiral, to wit a depression, in the wake of 2008

perhaps best described as a Silent Depression, because it is hidden by asset bubble inflation

K-shaped recovery, socialism for the rich, capitalism for the poor

this was the case in the Roaring Twenties as well, the deflationary spiral began well before 1929

the roar of the 1920's was also about asset bubble inflation

and there had already been a technical depression from 1919-1921 incited by the Spanish Flu

the larger trajectory however was a global economic slowdown from demobilization at the end of WWI

the Roaring 20's was an incited asset bubble inflation to try to stave off the effects, which only lasted 8 years

those who remember the 1970's will recall that we have been here before

collapse of Breton-Woods, the Oil Shock & demobilization from Vietnam

the result at the end of the decade was the dreaded Stagflation

so while the Millennials surmise the 1970's to have been the land of milk & honey

the reality was that it was a crisis inciting relatively hard times by today's standards

furthermore Paul Volcker's aggressive intervention to slay Stagflation came with some considerable pain as well
