Trump doesn't even have to run in 2024

he has changed the culture of the GOP

if Josh Hawley wants to be President for example, and he obviously does, he has to dance to Trump's tune

they can't come back with George W Bush 2.0

all GOP candidates will be judged against Trump's populism from now on

the GOP has become a Blue Collar party now, and this is what TR did in the first Gilded Age as well

all that being said, the hydrogen bombs don't care what your politics are

6,000,000 degrees, hotter than the sun

the hydrogen bomb has a politics unto itself, the hydrogen bomb doesn't care who wins the elections

the Washington National Security Consensus is not in control, control is a delusion

Nice analysis.
the Establishment narrative is that Trump has destroyed the GOP

but I think the opposite is the case

Trump saved the GOP, Trump flipped the GOP away from the rich to be the party of the masses

history will absolve him, he is destined to be Teddy Roosevelt 2.0
Again, I agree.

I didn’t know what NeoCons were when Trump got elected so the unprecedented attacks against him didn’t make sense. They were only possible because all Democrat power plus all GOP power was against him.

the NeoCons long ago fractured into factions

there are pro Trump NeoCons and Anti-Trump NeoCons

the Trump camp is the Morning in America Ronald Reagan faction

the NeverTrumps are the George H. W. Bush New World Order faction

remember, Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush did not see eye to eye, they were rivals

they ran against each other head to head, Reagan beat Bush with MAGA, but Bush called it "Voodoo Economics"

there's a third faction of the GOP who are not NeoCons, that's the Barry Goldwater faction

Rand Paul & Co basically, but they can't hold back the tide of populism

libertarians need reason to prevail, that's not viable in the midst of an hysterical populist uprising

they are getting swamped by the duelling NeoCon factions, Dutch Reagan vs. H. W. Bush

at the core of Neoconservatism is the refusal to engage in moral relativism

there is such a thing as an Evil Empire, and it has to be confronted

the schism is over George Cannon's policy of Containment

the George H. W. Bush faction favoured passive Containment, don't poke the Bear

the Reagan faction favoured poking the Bear, get up in his kitchen, put the gun in his mouth, call his bluff

what changed everything was the fall of the Iron Curtain nary a shot fired

rather than having to fight World War Three, there was a Velvet Revolution in Moscow

so this became the new model for the George H. W. Bush camp, which Obama picked up as his sword

Trump on the other hand went with the Reagan model, incite an arms race which Moscow cannot keep up with

Authoritarian NeoCons, Fascists, seem little different than Commies. I wish StA was sane enough to post on this topic. He needs to climb out of the pit.

Fascism is the reactionary response to Communism

it has to be authoritarian, because Communists don't play by any civilized rules

the Communists are so extreme they force conservatives to fight fire with fire

so for example you could defeat the Woke, but then you'll probably get a Mike Pompeo as President instead

the culture war is a war, all politics is downstream to culture, so it is no holds barred, anything goes

Marshall McLuhan's guerrilla information war with no distinction between military and civilian

we are living in it right now, this is an epoch washing over us

Woke Communism is postmodern

in the modern world, you had to seize territory by force of arms

in the postmodern Marshall McLuhan world you can stage Velvet Revolutions

overthrowing governments nary a shot fired, march into their camp by way of their own institutions

never mind tanks, the key to control is education

the Woke turned the entire education system into a Communist indoctrination camp

they changed the culture at the generational level, now the downstream effects are playing out

the left switched to Information Warfare and they have been winning ever since, conservatives are way behind

Trump is one of the first Information Warfare conservatives, the Twitter President changed the game
