Free Market vs Marxism
Kinda long, but well worth a watch if you have the time. On a side note, these two guys seems like archetypes for their positions. You have an optimistic, driven, intelligent free market believer. Then you have a slothful, grumbling, complaining Marxist slothfully proclaiming doom and being 100% negative.
Kinda a reflection of society as a whole.
The doers.
The fat, grumpy, doom-speaking grumblers.

My economics book has a lot of great anti-Marxist, anti-egalitarian quotes: 100s.DBTrek wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 11:06 amOn a side note, these two guys seems like archetypes for their positions. I'm in rewrite; I'll put it back up when I'm finished, sometime in the next few months.DBTrek wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 2:30 pmChecked your book section but didn't see it. p.s. I've admitted before that even though I think my ideas are new and original, debating here (not Facebook, it's a waste of mental energy) I often get more sophisticated. Usually it improves my thinking, as in the case of economics, and I go back and rethink the concept, and rewrite my books. Everything you were taught about econ is bs but if you've been reading my posts on here about it, you're farther along than most trained economists.

The physiocrats were onto something. That's as far as my economics go. And well Malthusian realities. Anyway when I see charts or numbers for too long i.e. more than 5 minutes my eyes glaze over. In another time I'd have been a bard obviously.

The Marxist is from Mass... professor of Umass Amherst, I know the guy, did a stint there a long time ago, the guy is a bloviator. He looks pretty bad though... looks like they dug him out of a tomb.DBTrek wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 11:06 am

Every dedicated Marxist I know is fat, grumpy, and bloviates unrelentingly.
It's like a phenotype with them.
Must be fat, rant about the "mistreatment" of the poor, and hate everything productive.
In this case "mistreatment" means the poor don't have as much as normal people who found decent jobs and use a modicum of thought in their planning and purchasing.
