Colorado voters have decided to join a growing list of states that hope to decide a president by popular vote, the latest move in a national chess match over the way the United States elects its presidents.
Called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, the agreement calls for states to award their electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote, once enough states join the agreement.

Only blue states will be in on this, which won't change how their votes are allocated. Seems like a nothing-burger to appease NPCs.The Conservative wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 5:27 amhttps://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-e ... 7159?cid=s

Look big picture... What states used to be red (solidly) that are now blue?Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 6:06 amOnly blue states will be in on this, which won't change how their votes are allocated. Also, if you look at it now, if they do "popular vote" and then give the electoral votes to the popular vote instead, how many votes is that? Give you a hint Over 200 straight to the Democrat.
This is a very dangerous game, and in many cases severely against what the founding fathers wanted, this is actually something they feared would happen.

I'm not saying I don't detest the idea. I just don't think they'll be able to do anything of substance. The Conservative wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 6:25 amLook big picture... Count the states and the electoral, that is 200 (206) out of the 270 they need to win. That means they will need to only go to states that may be a tossup and keep the momentum going until they take all the states by popular vote and force it.Xenophon wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 6:29 amI'm not saying I don't detest the idea. Think it's not possible?
What's happening now was said to be too.

That's true. Democracy in all it's forms is a poison. The Conservative wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 6:33 amCount the states and the electoral, that is 200 (206) out of the 270 they need to win. Democracy is tyranny. You want democracy? Enjoy the communist hellscape you've been frightened of. I’m hurt you think so little of me. Of course I know the danger of a democracy. Can’t believe I have to say that after all these years.
