What is the Biggest Surprise from the Trump Era
I mean, I always knew the media was in the tank. How far they were in the tank i guess was a little surprising but not as surprising as to my realization that Obama really was a communist revolutionary and was very effective in replacing the heads of agencies with fellow communist who then proceeded to change the entire culture of the federal government.

I was unaware, like all OWGs, just how underwater we were, and how pussy-whipped virtually all men are. (I am; just not in politics.)

For me the biggest surprise is how they are willing to hold on to obviously false narratives that they constructed and got caught trying to peddle.
The entire Russian Collusion line was obviously engineered by HRC and the DNC and sold to a willing FBI. But they still peddle it to us as fact.

I’ve been pretty surprised by the rioting all year. YMMV.

Martin Hash once told me that half of people are too stupid to handle the basics of functioning as an adult in society.
I thought he was full of crap, there's no way that could be right. I figured maybe he got that impression from working on some ER packed with addicts, homeless, and gang members for too long.
Trump's presidency showed me that Martin might have been low-balling that number.
The national IQ isn't where I thought it was at all.

Yeah, I dunno. It's one of my blind spots. I always assume what is obvious to me is obvious to others because ... well ... it's obvious. So I generally go through life figuring that I'm just kinda intellectually average - I know some stuff, I can construct and follow basic logical arguments, and obvious shit is obvious. It took Trump to show me that obvious shit is an absolute fucking MYSTERY to half of the country.

The biggest surprise to me was how clean Trump turned out to be. No one could find anything in his past that stuck. Who would have thunk it?

This could easily be at the top of the list.
