A shout out to our friend Mr. Hash
Hey I just want to say a big thank you to Martin, if it wasn’t for him we would not have this platform to talk and debate with one another. When Dan took his ball and went home several years ago, it was Mr. Hash that stood up and did what was right. So thank you Hash!

Dan's interview with Giles is like listening to Bill Kristol.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:05 amNot needed; I'm a dick too, just not a fraud & coward like Dan.SilverEagle wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:02 amHey I just want to say a big thank you to Martin, if it wasn’t for him we would not have this platform to talk and debate with one another. I've come a long way since the Dan Days. He seemed so insightful at the time, and I was confident but insecure in my own views. I feel like I've matured, while he's slipped into the uninteresting crowd. Same with a lot of the people I admired back-in-the-day; what happened to them; did their brains atrophy?kybkh wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 9:00 amDan's interview with Giles is like listening to Bill Kristol.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:05 amNot needed; I'm a dick too, just not a fraud & coward like Dan.SilverEagle wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:02 amHey I just want to say a big thank you to Martin, if it wasn’t for him we would not have this platform to talk and debate with one another. He got invited to the Pentagon...
Coincidence or not, it seems like a turning point in his commentary.

Re: A shout out to our friend Mr. Hash
I have a different theory.
I think that your spouse will eventually come around to your way of thinking as long as you're not a dick about your views. There have been times in my marriage where I hold an opinion, and while my wife disagreed with me, over time she came around to my way of thinking because reality pointed her in that direction. Also, she respects me, so she's not looking to lord authority over me like a regent.
I honestly think it was the money. Dan had always ran Ben-a-thons to fund his stuff, and I can't imagine it was very easy to grab new listeners who were engaged enough with him to order his back catalog. I imagine that as a man with a family and a job in content creation, economic instability was always present, and when you're putting food on the table, it can get overwhelming to constantly be in that state of insecurity.
Fast forward to 2016-ish, and he's getting deals with PR agencies and the like, and he suddenly washes his views to be more in line with progressive orthodoxy. He gets a book deal and is seemingly able to keep the doors open without having to beg for donations via Ben-a-thon shilling.
