God help us all: Ranked Choice Voting will be on the ballot in Massachusetts this November

Post by The Conservative » Wed Jul 15, 2020 5:42 am

This is not good news for the Republic. This is not constitutional.

I hope the people of Mass realize this.
The Secretary of the Commonwealth has confirmed that Ranked Choice Voting will be on the ballot in Massachusetts this November.

Thanks to the hard work of Voter Choice for Massachusetts and the campaign’s many volunteers, Massachusetts voters are one step closer to being more empowered in their choices at the ballot box.

Now, it’s time to educate voters on how Ranked Choice Voting can improve our elections and Voter Choice for Massachusetts is keeping the conversation going. Sign up to volunteer to help the campaign spread the word and debunk the myths.

Ranked Choice Voting puts more power in the hands of the people to create the change we need.

We only have 110 days until Election Day, and the countdown begins now.

Ranked choice voting (RCV) makes democracy more fair and functional. It works in a variety of contexts. It is a simple change that can have a big impact.

With ranked choice voting, voters have the option to rank candidates in order of choice.

When used to elect a single candidate like a mayor or a governor, RCV helps elect a candidate that better reflects the majority of voters. When used to elect more than one candidate, like a city council, state legislature, or even Congress, RCV is a form of fair representation voting which more accurately represents the full spectrum of voters.
Or a more simple example:

The DNC loves this idea because it supersedes the Electoral College.

Don't the states have the right to allocate their electors in any way they see fit? This is actually an ideal voting system.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

It sounds like a way to give people more than one vote. In a field of 2 Democrat candidates and 1 Republican, all the Dems vote 1,2 for the Dem, Republicans only have 1 they like, so they only get 1 vote to the Dems 2.

No, it wouldn't... money is money... you need money to get into these things, there is no way around it. Otherwise, I would have been running for office years ago.

This just gives your vote to mean less...
