China China China

Saw this video on YouTube about China and Trump, and indicating that Trump's policies towards China are backfiring. I am not sure what to think about the video, so I am curious to get some of your thoughts on it. It is kind of a long video.

I thought the conclusion was bullshit: all nations will join with China for pragmatic economic reasons over ideology. Anytime someone goes after Trump at that level, it’s a sign of TDS

As I always say: what Trump does is what I would do. That’s why when people criticize Trump, I take it personally.

Don't think he was saying all nations would join China. Only that they are trying to economically unite certain authoritarian countries on the bases that they all want to stay in power. Then they try to use the openness of western nations to undermine their ability to effectively counter China. China knows that their greatest threat is liberal democracies. So they attempt to convince non-liberal democracies that being economically aligned with China will make them all more resilient to the liberal democracies.

Anyways, do you have any more specific criticisms of his points other than TDS?

Actually, your description fits better. However, leave Trump out of it. China was fucking our ass; that needs to stop first.

US orders China to close their embassy in Houston. Mysterious (and massive) document fire last night.

I stumbled upon a South African's YouTube channel as he lived and worked in China, and had a family in China.

Unsurprisingly, he's been harassed by the government.

No. Ever since George Bush Sr in the late 80’s was trying to expand our economy thinking that China will be more democratic with capitalism.

Our relationship with China would have been better if it was for raw materials, we make the end product and sell it back.

I blame Silicon Valley for China’s slave labor.

We we’re the idiots to pushed other countries to embrace China and it’s policies. Plus the amount of hacking and peddling to Universities for a distorted outcome.

Is it any better when Nike shoes we make from slave wages in Thailand?

The jobs could have been done here if it was for those pesky laws and regulations.

You stop them by not buying their products and all American corporations stop using their labor.

Nope. It was the POTUS, and a bipartisanship of fools that caused this.

It’s like you think Clinton is some sort of dictatorship.

Jeez it’s not like HillaryCare succeed.

The Elephants wanted this just as bad as the donkeys.
