Not when new variants are showing resistance to the current vaccines.

The P1 variant from Brazil already has the E484K mutation from the South African strain. This makes it both more contagious and more vaccine resistant. Then there's the N10 strain from North West Brazil which also has the more resistant E484K mutation and then there are the P2 and N9 variants which are currently not so worrying but could also mutate further.

You are the one that has his head in the ground... you ignore the rules that we have for the flu, you probably won't catch COVID (since it is a version of the flu) and if you do, as stated before if you aren't elderly (which also is a rule with the flu too) overweight (which is also a rule with the flu) and already sick (which is also a rule with the flu) you probably will survive it without an issue. Even being elderly is not a guaranteed death sentence either...

So keep on believing big brother is going to save you from the big bad bug, while the rest of us want to get on with our lives.

Vaccines don't stop transmission. Even the vaccinated are carriers.

I doubt that you are truly aware of what you are saying. "No one is safe until everyone is safe" (Your words) is an unrealistic goal. Utopia doesn't exist.

Yes I know several people who have had Covid 19.
My aunt died with it.
A friend had a stroke because of it.
At least 4 people I know are suffering from long Covid, 2 of them are now having heart problems one has had to have heart surgery.
I haven't had it but I've been very careful and I live in a very rural area.
