So essentially removing all possible competition for Amazon in every product category, which all but eliminates domestic producers of those products and all retailers.

In addition, removing the ability of all citizens to purchase anything other than government-deemed ‘essentials’ without a 2-3 day waiting period.

All for a virus that has roughly the impact of seasonal flu.

And this is reasonable to you?
It's actually aimed at helping the small independent shops.
They've had to shut for two weeks to comply with the lockdown and the Welsh government thought it would be unfair to allow the supermarket to sell the same non essential products.
For example, toys. Toyshops are going to have a rough enough Christmas without an advantage being given to the supermarkets.
As far as I know Amazon doesn't produce anything. When I buy things through them or Ebay I'm buying from small independent producers and retailers.
As for having to wait for delivery, boo fucking hoo.
If that really upsets anyone they are probably the sort of person who can't drink a soda without using a plastic straw.
Man the fuck up...
Advantage?? 90% of Amazon producers are in China. It’s national suicide.

And you expect the government to get this right? Can you go get a baby bottle at 3am? Adult diapers? Can you buy a thermometer or a can of baby food?

Wtf dude. You’re completely submitting to an autocratic nightmare and you tell me to man up??
You know you've lost your way when you're welcoming the jackboot on your neck and telling the govt "thank you, can I have some more? Stomp the boot even harder please!"

Even worse is when one dons a pair of their own jackboots and tries stomping on the necks of those around them who don't share in their love of the government sponsored agenda. Neighbor ratting out neighbors on behalf of the State. It's disgusting, really.

And of course lest you think they didn't bioengineer this virus for a reason...

Sure, they're essentials.
You'd have to go to a decent sized city to find anywhere open at 3am though.
A couple of weeks of minor inconvenience in order to stop case numbers getting out of hand.
We're up to nearly 200 deaths a day in the UK. A month ago it was single figures.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

You lose that many on a normal day dude.

And take a close look at the deaths. Bet you'll find a commonality.

It helps the companies that specialise in selling these items rather than just making the supermarkets even richer.
Ah yes, those evil rich supermarkets. We must eliminate them so that all those workers can be out of jobs and sitting at home ordering all of their products (which they can only afford through government handouts now that their jobs are gone) through the benevolent Amazon.

What do supermarkets produce? Amazon is a giant Wal Mart. You probably think you thought this through but you haven't.

You must trust your authoritarian government masters and not question what they seem you should be allowed to buy and what they deem "non-essential" and you shouldn't be allowed to buy...

"Tesco has been slammed after deeming sanitary products ‘non-essential’ during the 17-day firebreak lockdown in Wales."

Authoritarians love to just keep pushing the limits to see how much shit you'll put up with.
