I paid $50 (Canadian) for the PS3 I'm using, bought it off a guy at my wife's office.

It's a first generation PS3, the big clunky one.
There were two versions of the PS3. The first is a slim. The second is a thick one about 25 to 30% thicker. It had a hardwareemulation system in it to play the older games.

If you have that, it's worth $$$ even today.
This is the one I have :

That could be it. A SN lookup would well you more.

The Thick version came first, then the slim. There were multiple configurations of the thick models. The only one with PS2 hardware emulation is the 60GB thick one. If the hard drive is 60GB, then you have the one that is the most sought after.

BTW, all PS3 models play PS1, but only a few play PS2.

I remember the think ones later. Either way. It matters on the Serial number.

Nope, this one is a CECHK01 80 GB

Still, pretty good deal for $30 USD since I've been using it for a few years now.

I don't have any PS2 games anyways, I gave my PS2 and games away long time ago.

There's lots of PS3 games available for like $5 these days, I just buy them from the discount bin.

I haven't played that many, there's hundreds of games for PS3 for me to try.

I mostly just use it for Gran Turismo tho, that's its primary role.

There are very few games that keep my interest as well, I just wish there was more re-playability out there for games.

You probably think you are hot shit because you got to drive some fancy video game car. I get that your life is so sad that you brag about video game ferraris. Guess what? My life is like a video game. One of my neighbors at my old apartment had a buddy who visited him and drove a modified Chevy Camaro. Yes you read that right. We are talking luxury beyond anything a loser like you can even imagine. Aux port so he could plug in an mp3 player. And he let me look at his car, and I could have even sat in it if I pressed him. I'm not saying this to brag, but I got really up close to this Camaro and even was able to get the license plate number. You can have your stupid video games bro, but I'm busy getting the high score in life.

I've driven a Maserati mc12 a Tesla S a Dodge Viper and a Lamborghini Veneno (that one took my breath away)... have fun with your little toy... I'll take something that can go to 0 to Oh Shit in less than 5 seconds.

I worked for someone who was a car lover, he was invited to several sport car driving events, he let me come with him. Best times in my life when it came to driving cars... none I would ever want to own, but damn they were fun to drive.
