Nah. They will just transition to the narrative that the trial was rigged, no witnesses, etc. Democrats never hold themselves accountable for anything. If Trump wins reelection, I wouldn't be surprised if we are right back at impeachment before year 6.
What's to stop them starting up tomorrow?
Nothing.

I know. I fully expect a new impeachment announcement from the House next week.

That would actually be hilarious.

They paid a pretty big political cost for this fiasco, though. I am not sure they will go for round two so soon.

It sure is.
Trying to get foreign nations to smear your political opponents.
You can expect requests to Deutsche Bank to dig up dirt to intensity now it has been shown to be acceptable.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Joe Biden threatened to plunge the nation of Ukraine into a total credit default in 2015 if they didn't fire the prosecutor that was investigating his corruption scheme involving his son. Trump is the head of federal law enforcement. It is literally his job to do this. They tried to impeach and convict a president for doing his job in rooting out corruption.

Really? You still going with that debunked nonsense?
The prosecutor was denounced as corrupt by a lot more people than Biden.

Many countries wanted him removed including the EU.

Hunter Biden was paid 50k per month to sit on the board of a petrochemical company and that fuck up can't even identify the molecular diagram of the crack cocaine he is addicted to, much less a hydrocarbon. What do you think your odds are of getting on the board of directors of a major oil company when you just got dishonorably discharged from the Navy and have a crack cocaine addiction?

You want to raise the question of nepotism with Ivanka and hubby taking highly paid positions in the Trump administration?
