Georgia's got peaches the size of grapefruits

Post by PartyOf5 » Tue May 07, 2019 3:19 pm

Georgia just signed into law their "Heartbeat Bill". The law makes it illegal to get an abortion once a fetus' heartbeat can be detected, which usually occurs between 6 and 8 weeks.

Not surprisingly the left wing media is framing this simply as criminalizing abortion....period. Hollywood is threatening to boycott the state.

The most childish reaction comes from a Democrat state representative who introduced her own bill, called the 'testicular bill of rights".
Georgia state Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick, a Democrat, responded to the bill by introducing the so-called “Testicular Bill of Rights,” which would require men to obtain consent from their sexual partners before securing prescriptions for Viagra, ban vasectomies, and mandate paternity testing between six and eight weeks of pregnancy, among other restrictions.

The intent of the legislation, which by Kendrick’s own admission is unconstitutional, was to highlight the alleged fact that HB 481 unduly robs a woman of her autonomy, just as her Testicular Bill of Rights would restrict a man’s autonomy. Of course, the key flaw in her reasoning is that HB 481 deals not with women but with the unique rights of their unborn children.
I'm surprised Georgia actually went through with this bill. It's more aggressive than what I would settle on. Then again, Democrat controlled states are working to allow abortion all the way up to and past the actual birth, so they shouldn't be surprised at such a snapback reaction.

I’d expect about as much from someone with an apostrophe in their name
No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session

The Viagra thing is curious , how is that equivalent? The vasectomy thing is most likely already policy. Many urologists boards make sure a patient with a spouse is notified of such a procedure. Without notification that can be grounds for an annulment.

100% behind mandated paternity test. I support Dar'qwan, or whatever the fuck.

Mandatory paternity tests.

I bet feminists were like, "fuck yeah.. wait.. what the fuck?! No, not paternity tests!"

At least it's not outlawed like in France. Yet.

A guy I worked with got snipped back in the 90s when his wife was away for a couple of weeks dealing with her dying father out of state. 2 years later she was pregnant with "their" 3rd child.

They're still married. Not sure how they worked that out, but he was certainly not happy at the time. Of course with two prior kids he would have been screwed royally in the courts anyways.

That's another reason why doctors should cya and cover your patients. He was deceitful and he was repaid ten fold.

I also agree that wives should be notified of something like that. Your balls may belong to you, but your sexuality belongs to her, and vice versa.

Yeah, that's one where it would blow up in the face.
