Meh. Don't mistake the sports writers for the fan base. It was an era in baseball everyone loved it at the time. Everyone knew when Sosa was chasing McGuire no one could do anything about it and no one wanted too. What really set it off was watching Bonds blow up in front of everyone like a goddamn water balloon. It's over, they test now people get punished like any other sport. No one talks about it in the NFL, they catch people all the time.

Everyone knew when Sosa was chasing McGuire no one could do anything about it and no one wanted too. They catch a fraction of the cheaters with the testing, those they do catch via testing are just morons or people who weren't even cheating but had trace amounts of some shit in their body that they never knowingly ingested, or someone ratted them out otherwise they wouldn't have gotten caught. It isn't over, and it will never be over, anti-doping is a joke and based on junk science or no science, it's a political witch hunt to the core.

The fan base cares too, more baseball fans than any other major sport care about PED's and go on drug warrior crusades, and talk about how no one who did PED's should be allowed in the HOF no matter how good they were. The only sports fan base who cares about PED's almost as much as baseball fans do is MMA fans and track and field fans, and they are both fucking insufferable drug prohibitionist faggots too.
