The best part of opening day is that it brings all decent Americans together in unity, if only for a day.

Walk Harper to load the bases and face the cleanup hitter, that disrespect must be punished.

Team when on a shopping spree and it is paying off.

i was at the dodger blowout game last saturday, final score 18-5 or whatever. diamondbacks had blown through all their pitchers the night before so they were using a position player as a pitcher in the 8th, the dodgers were crushing the shit out of his 60 mph pitches. it was like watching batting practice, dodgers were just padding their stats, 2 or 3 or 4 home runs in that inning alone, whatever it was. fans in the stands were losing their shit but it was obvious that the pitcher was lobbing pitches over the plate

fun times

dodgers need some stronger relief pitching, their offense has been decent early in the game but they keep falling apart in the second half. i'm confident in them but it's gonna be a long year

The Jays trade Pillar out of town.

Jays continuing to tank.

Which is the right thing to do.

None the less, there's no reason to watch the Jays while they tank.

So much for MLB. /shrugs

Of all the leagues, tanking is the least effective in MLB.

Giants got Pilar but I don't think its going to do anything for them

I'm settling in for a long season. I don't get to watch that many Giants games because of where I live so I usually watch the Angels every night. Despite them doing the smart thing and making Trout a career, and very rich, Angel, I think it might be a long season for them as well

This is why I don't give a shit about MLB.

Jays ownership is cheap.

They only spend money once in a generation.

There's no sense in following the Jays in the meantime.

They are at a disadvantage Canadian taxes on "foreign" workers are ridiculous. So in order to be competitive for the top guys they would have to far outbid other teams.
