Like, in my neighborhood, 24 hr a day noise bylaw, any persistent nuisance noise at all is prohibited.

I'm all for it.

Doesn't suck for me. Corso Italia. Don't make a nuisance of yourself on my street.

Oh, you wanna make a nuisance?

Aye fungoo on you, cry me a river.
They didn't cause a nuisance, they got slapped with a public nuisance charge because their arguments were considered to be hate speech, otherwise they wouldn't have had the grounds to charge them because "public nuisance".
Bylaw. I'm prepared to allow broad latitude. If it was indictable offence, the judge would throw it out.
Just because it's a bylaw doesn't make it a good bylaw. There are bad bylaws, and just because one supports broad latitude when it comes to by laws doesn't mean they should be for limiting free speech for dubious reasons.

That's not the same things as limiting free speech, because someone accuses you of hate speech. One bylaw is clearly way better than the other here, not all bylaws are created equal.

False equivalency, these guys weren't deemed to be causing too much noise, they were deemed to be peddling hate speech.

It's not dubious to me.

I support the beating. I don't support a stupid bylaw, just because I support more sensible bylaws. Stick with the beating, a bylaw isn't going to solve anything.

Being for broad latitude in bylaws doesn't mean you have to support even the stupid bylaws, that makes no sense. Dubious City.

I don't want them on my street, so it's impasse.

War.

If you say they can make a nuisance on my street and I can't do anything about it, I'm prepared to have them killed then.

Anyway, since you don't want to present any good arguments in favor of this bylaw, might as well change the subject to something less boring.

My argument is don't make a nuisance on my street.

If you say that there's nothing I can do about that, by law.

Then it is war. Corso Italia. Don't cry to me after.

/shrugs.
