You're both right, basically. In Rome, it worked for awhile, but then it collapsed.

It's not wrong to say that the Italian Romans basically absorbed so many Germans into the empire that it became a German empire and then the Italians fled to Anatolia.

It would be wrong to say that it happened in under 200 years.
Or that the demographic shift was the sole, or even primary cause of the collapse.

Yeah, it's working out perfectly. We have major terror attacks about every three months now, and some European nations are plagued with ethnic violence, including the targeted rape of young girls in the other ethnicities.

just my gut, is it possible to keep score on something like this? if you want to say 50 muslim invaders were defeated today then sure, but there were atleast 50 new muslim babies born today, and now all the other ones are pissed off. even more pissed off than usual
