i thought the strength of choosing a VP was to attract a different voter base with a different mindset

Exactly. I'd argue it should be him or Tulsi. He needs to shore up the anti-establishment creds.

i would think he needs to shore up the pro-establishment creds, bernie's opposition from the corporate press is all the anti-establishment required

kamala checks off a lot of boxes, bernie will need the black vote too, idk theyd probably turn out for her more than trump if they plan to continue voting as a monolithic block
