Re: Social Credit
The report gave no details of how many people live in areas with “social credit” systems.
“Social credit” is one facet of efforts by the ruling party to take advantage of increased computing power, artificial intelligence and other technology to track and control the Chinese public.
The police ministry launched an initiative dubbed “Golden Shield” in 2000 to build a nationwide digital network to track individuals.
Human rights activists say people in Muslim and other ethnic minority areas have been compelled to give blood samples for a genetic database. Those systems rely on foreign technology. That has prompted criticism that U.S. and European suppliers might be enabling human rights abuses.
This week, Waltham, Massachusetts-based Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. said it no longer would sell or service genetic sequencers in the Muslim-majority region of Xinjiang in the northwest following complaints they were used for surveillance."
Hahaha. Of course corporations have no morals or boundaries. They make money. They serve Mammon and it will be used on everyone else if there is a buck to be made. Head for the hills why you can. Could be the last days of some semblance of "freedom".

While other officers watched, Wubbels explained to Payne that, if he wanted the blood, he needed either an electronic warrant, patient consent, or declare an intent to arrest the patient.
But Payne, the nurse said, wasn't having it.

Any of you guys read Daemon by Daniel Suarez? In it a runaway AI creates a gamified darknet community where everyone has scores that determine their real world power and resources, but peer approval is just one of them. Awesome book, as is the sequel. Do I have to say more than autonomous motorcycle assassins with robotic swords?
We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND
