It wouldn't be the stupidest thing they've done.

Well they have set the bar rather high in the past, but unintentional incompetence is still far more likely than intentional malice. If it was intentional malice, there are infinitely better ways for China to be intentionally malicious, so if it was all planned out instead of being an accident, then it's a really dumb plan.

O’ I don’t think the release of covid 19 was intentional - I think it was an accident. The big questions:

Is covid 19 bioseapon or SARs vaccine research? I don’t blame PRC for wanting to find a vaccine, but I do blame them for having the arrogance to put a level 4 lab in a city.

Will world leaders have the ballz to call PRC out if evidence makes it without a shadow of a doubt this thing came from PRC lab? And will we force PRC to compensate us via burning their treasuries?

So it’s just one hell of a “coincidence” that the virus started killing people in the only city in China to have a level 4 facility with documented evidence of scientists experimenting with covid viruses in bats to make them human transmissible.......

More likely the Chinese would simply be conscripting an existing virus as a weapon rather than engineering it

BSL4 would be so deadly that it wouldn't spread very far

That is why they would select this milder but wider spreading BSL3 pathogen
