Yes, they did all the things you are complaining about.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 8:23 amThere are other things they did that were effective, follow that, until you get the testing capacity, don't follow the shittiest models because you lack the imagination to learn anything from an example where the economy wasn't destroyed via counter-productive central planning.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 8:17 amStill waiting for you to tell us how to follow their lead without the testing capacity required.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 7:35 amThe cure is worse than the disease, in many cases. Not in South Korea's case, but instead of following their lead, some morons only want to follow the lead of the nations who handled it the worst, didn't cure the disease, and piled on economic damage on top of it.
Social distancing, closing down bars, banning mass meetings such as sporting events etc.
They haven't done anything differently they've just done it quicker and better.
More masks, more test kits, more lab' capacity, quicker travel restrictions.
I get it, you're on your anti-central planning, anti-experts, anti-government interference hobby horse but you are going to need more than ''but South Korea'' if you are going to convince anyone that shutting down nonessential jobs and staying at home is a mistake.
It's no good whining shoulda, woulda, coulda, about things we weren't equipped to do when they needed doing.
There'll be plenty of time for the survivors to do that later and then you can moan about central planners wasting money stockpiling PPE and ventilators because the flu kills more people and all that really matters is money.
