Trump's Play for Ron Paul Revolutionaries
First it was why does Trump have so many MIC folks in cabinet? is he going to be a dictator??
Then it was MIC folks keep Trump's finger off the button.
Now, MIC folks were only ones ensuring America's pursuit of ever-lasting hegemony. (even though we surrendered that in '54)
Russia-gate is meant to contain a non-MIC foreign policy.
Trump's cabinet has tried to contain DJT's non-MIC foreign policy.
Of course, once DJT followed through with his campaign promise to pull out of the Levant his handlers resign and Mitt opens fire.
Why the pivot?? My guess is Trump's internet gurus have identified the anti-war, anti-fed, independents and Libertarians as the only pool of voters which he can grow his base from.

Re: Trump's Play for Ron Paul Revolutionaries
I don't think he can get anymore anarchist / bernie bro types , nor can he really get many more middle class women. He could piss them off less (potentially) and play up the security-safety element of his presidency. Of course that would mean getting some border control going for real with results. I think he could get a few more percentage points of blacks and Mexicans voting for him in 2020. But the above is only playing with the margins but then again that's enough to win so that's all that is needed. I think legal Hispanic immigrants would vote for him if nothing else for wage controls and their job security. They tend to be family oriented and religious. You'd think more would vote whatever party was allegedly more conservative for those two simple factors.
I think the electoral demographics are still with the Republicans this next time around. Who knows it will hold enough for 2024.

Looking at early interviews of Trump, I think it suits him well, it's who he is.
He's tried to place nice with some of these people, but he gets fucked. Like Romney, he endorsed the guy for his seat. Romney get's elected and immediately turns are and fucks over Trump, becoming the next John McCain.
If the RINOs aren't going to support him, fuck em, might as well look elsewhere

He’s welcome to court my vote. If he can pull us out of bombing the Middle East, and stick-saving the stock market, he’s got it.

All he has to do is force Congress to justify our Middle East military adventure 17 years later.
This would be like us being at war in Germany and Japan through 1958. At war in Vietnam through 1981.
I don't have a problem with Wars, but I have a problem with long occupations, that's what it's turned into.

I still think Trump can break the Dems hold on Blacks. Everybody else is pretty much cemented in.

Welcome aboard.
I stated at least 5 years ago that the Dems would lose there hold on Blacks in this generation.

Ron Paul zombies seem to have divided up. They are mostly either democrats now or alt-right. The majority of the voices in the Alt-Right right now were Ron Paul followers ten years ago. They renounced libertarianism for the most part as a utopian dream that, at best, could only be realized in an all-white society (probably all Anglo when you think about it).

I think he can split them.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 2:45 pmI still think Trump can break the Dems hold on Blacks. Everybody else is pretty much cemented in.
Latinos I think can be split too. When Trump was running, an immigrant friend from Brazil privately told me a lot of them support Trump. He said he and his wife belonged to various support groups for immigrants, and I would be shocked to find out what a lot of these illegals get away with. He already knew how I felt, so when he says I would be shocked, he means beyond what I already assumed was going on.
My sense is that a lot of legitimate immigrants from Latin America are fucking pissed, but the media downplays it, and they are afraid to speak out about it. But, really, I cannot be sure about this.
