So, I was just chatting with farmer Paul about the differences between British and American humour.
British humour being self-deprecating and American humour being about putting others down.
Paul agreed and told me the story of when he met a Texan farmer,

''It takes me 3 days to drive around my farm back home'' says the Texan.

Quick as a flash Paul replied,

''I used to have a car like that''.

American humor is not generally about putting others down unless it is leftist comedians. Just normal comedians who aren't trying to toe the line with leftist propaganda generally self-deprecate all the time.

Really, British humor has become intensely hostile towards others. John Cleese, for example, is constantly deprecating other people. You yourself like to post non-funny British comedians insulting Americans.

What is all this about?

The main problem with formula one is not the lack of passing although that is making it dull to watch at times.
What is really damaging is the ridiculous tyre degradation and the policy of under-fueling the cars to keep the weight down.
What this results in is drivers having to drive slower than they can to save the tyres and stop them running out of fuel.
Instead of driving flat out for the full distance of the race they cruise around for large periods(still at very high speeds) not daring to drive on the edge because wearing out your tyres and losing grip or running out of fuel are very real possibilities.
This does add a large degree of tactics (one tyre stop or two for example) but most fans, especially those without the knowledge of all the variables involved, don't want to watch tactics. They want to see drivers going flat out driving bumper to bumper.

I've loved F1 for as long as I can remember but I have been getting more and more disillusioned with it for the last decade or so.
