Street violence v democratic process
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

i think it depends what their cause is. if it's some putin cockholster shit then no i doubt it, but if it's protesting "collect-it-all" US surveillance, foreign and/or monetary policy or something like that then yeah sure, i'd support it. why not? it is exciting after all

It obviously "depends" on the circumstances as does almost anything of significance. Rioting is not a "right" and destroying property is and should be a crime.pineapplemike wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 10:23 ami think it depends what their cause is. if it's some putin cockholster shit then no i doubt it, but if it's protesting "collect-it-all" US surveillance, foreign and/or monetary policy or something like that then yeah sure, i'd support it. why not? it is exciting after all

Go kill an elk and skin it for "excitement". Or kayak or ski or learn to shoot a bow etc. I'd rather not watch ordinary people lose property and old buildings burn.

When the elected leaders don't do the things they promised before the election, protests might be in order. Also if they are incompetent when dealing with a new crisis. Winning an election doesn't free you from accountability.
Protesting the election results when your candidate loses is just outright pathetic and should be met with scorn.
