There is no rule of law or consistency. There is only power, money, and status. O yeah there is also bad and good luck. Homesteading while you can is about all that is left for any semblance of a free life.

Rule of law is all relative.

The rule of British law was never actually just.

It was just more just than everybody elses law, or lack thereof.

That's the secret to Anglo-Saxon dominance.

Everybody else is worse.

I'd say that the main factor in their dominance wasn't rule of law but commercialism. They were the best at the time at getting money. Couple that with their naval superiority/island nation well there you go. Problem is in the super long term if money is the highest objective or value then well why not sell your soul and nation to foreigner or anything else down the rive? There is no blood and soil in capital.

The dominance of the autocratic French puts the lie to that.

The Papal Sun Kings ruled it all, the money, the waves, everything, prior to 1688.

Anglo-Saxons have only ruled the world since 1763.

It was same rule. The Pope in Rome.

That is the rule which the Anglo-Saxons overthrew.

Agreed, I just don't think it was "better" and you do.

Market forces decide. The money flowed to the Anglo-Saxons to escape from Papal confiscation.

This is why I don't feel particularly bad for countries set upon by the Central Intelligence Agency.

They deserve it. They bring it on themselves.

Julian Assange is just a typical British type America resenter, that was his undoing.

Canada is full of them.

I know the Julian Assange type, he's the Australian version of the Canadian knee jerk America resenter.

Even in terms of the original Pentagon Papers, I bear no grudge against Kennedy nor Johnson.

They made mistakes. They chose the wrong strategy.

If I could go back to convince them to change that to a winning strategy, I would.

I would save South Vietnam from North Vietnam, were it in my power.

The Phoenix Program was indeed ruthless, but it was a ruthless enemy, so he took it there.

None the less, the Phoenix Program was working.

The CIA had the right idea, beat them at their own viscous game.
