Pizzas must shrink or lose their toppings under Government anti-obesity plan
Pizzas must shrink or lose their toppings under Government plans to cap the calories in thousands of meals sold in restaurants and supermarkets.
Pies, ready meals and sandwiches will also be subject to the new proposed calorie limits, in a desperate bid to tackle Britain’s obesity crisis.
Under the draft proposals, a standard pizza for one should contain no more than 928 calories - far less than many sold by takeaways, restaurants and shops. And the recommendations suggest that a savoury pie should contain no more than 695 calories.
Public Health England (PHE) said “drastic” measures were needed to combat Britain’s obesity crisis.
Their plans will see recommended limits on thousands of regularly consumed foods, including cooking sauces, soups, burgers and processed meats.
It comes as new figures show rates of severe obesity among children have risen by more than a third in just over a decade....

Britons are like a bunch of fat cats whose owners are about to cut back on the Whiskas. Damn! You hear that, you rotund little pets? No more overflowing dishes for you.
We’re going to discuss this litter box next.

They drive on the state's roads to buy the pizza, or pay a delivery-unit to drive the pizza to them on the state's roads; so STFU.

Fife, you sold me on the fact that we don't need roads. I am in full agreement with you on that. But the free speech stuff is something we will probably not ever see eye-to-eye on. People shouldn't be able to just say what they want, especially if that speech could offend or anger another person or make the govt look bad. I'm not even sure you have a good rebuttal for that.

I have two cats, they get Friskies canned & dry, two bowls (one dry, one canned) and they alternate. (Actual littermate brothers) One is a chunky 15.5 lbs, the other a healthy 9.5 lbs. They seem to eat about the same. My personal opinion of the difference? The fat boy lounges around and never goes very far, the average one is the hunter/explorer of the pair, let them out one circles the yard and lounges, the other disappears into the woods for 6 hours (maybe bringing back a kill or two in that time).
Maybe the UK should be encouraging exercise instead?

How many calories are there in pineapple?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
