If a woman claims assault but there is no evidence other than her testimony this can be considered evidence in and of itself right? *nodding and smiling*

How is that evidence?

Well if she is believable this can be considered evidence by the jury right?

Isn't that like a witch trial?

No matter what the trial is about, most every seasoned trial lawyer would tell you that on the morning of trial, the opposing attorneys would be happy to get together in private after initial voir dire and eliminate the 30% of the pool who really DON'T want to be involved in the trial (no matter what it is about) and the 30% who really DO want to be involved in the trial (no matter what it is about). This is regarding the very small minority of cases filed that actually have to have a jury trial to resolve. 60% of the fuckers in the jury pool are so screwed up that they don't help either contestant, and everybody involved in conducting the trial knows it.
