If you want a job, you can get a job
For the first time ever, there’s a job opening for every unemployed worker.

Trump should be promoting this every chance he gets, even though the media will still ignore it and focus on the endless Russia, Stormy, etc.. crap.

There have always been jobs, and there have always been a lot of Americans whining about not being able to get a job, or my favorite. I wouldn't make enough for it to pay for me to work

Hey, your politicians are getting a nice solid voting block and plenty of Fed subsidies, you just need to keep your mouth shut over there and enjoy your culture enrichment.DBTrek wrote:400+ homeless camps in Seattle that the city council is trying to force Amazon to pay for ... if y’all need some idle folks who ain’t got jack to do but get high and shit on someone’s driveway.

I’ll enjoy it more when you can walk through a park or a nature trail and not dodge piles of dirty hypodermics.

I wouldn't hold it against you if you rounded them up and put them on chain gangs.

I'm guessing at least some of those jobs require some sort of...skills? Education? That the (I'm guessing we're talking the long-term?) unemployed don't have. Offer the unemployed some guidance on what sort of skills/education they need to attain jobs, and either help fund their training/education - or direct them to someone who might want to. Invest in them.

College is free if you're poor. If you're not, subsidized and non-subsidized loans are offered to pay for tuition, rent, transportation and food, for anyone at any age.

The military is still offering free training in a number of professions as well. Then there’s the job corps, gig economy, and craigslist/Angielist General day labor opportunities.
You’ll be shocked to hear that the homeless and chronically unemployed have ready-made excuses for why none of these “work for their situation” either.
Fuck ‘em.
And fuck UBI too.
If they can’t possibly motivate themselves to take an interest in their own continued existence it’s ridiculous to force the rest of us to.

Are.. I think they're called vocational schools - the educations where you learn to be, say a carpenter or mechanic, that sort of thing - are they also free? Anyway, if the solution(s) needed to guide them is already in place, that's great and I'll have no other suggestions to make.doc_loliday wrote:BjornP wrote:I'm guessing at least some of those jobs require some sort of...skills?
