I think eventually people in SF will get frustrated. They will probably never admit that they caused the problem, but they will leave and bring their fucked up ideas to more conservative parts of the country. That is really what scares me. Liberals fleeing with a molten crater in their wake, learning nothing, and then leaving for greener pastures that they can graze upon. It has been happening in Florida for god knows how long. Snowbirds come here for our advantageous taxes and so forth, and they bring with them these ideas. My last 6 bosses have been from up North, and they just repeat the same fucking talking points over and over again. They have this weird contempt for the South and its residents. What I don't fucking get, is why did you come here if it sucks so bad? I don't like many aspects of my state, but I'm not going to Ohio and New York and saying, this place sucks, you all should pay higher taxes and have a continually growing HIV nanny state because I watched a 20 minute episode of John Oliver and now understand econ.

That's just what Yankees do. We probably should just exterminate them at some point.

Is America Dying? – This essay is inspired by the documentary on Seattle (Seattle Is Dying). America as we envisioned it is dead, and it will take a new form after transitioning. Seattle is undergoing what San Fran has undergone and that is the high Gini Coefficient socioeconomic condition that yields billionaires and scores of homeless in tents and sleeping bags as everyone else wonders why the city is going to crap. A great point is made how the city does not match the image it has from the old tech days. Because the media censorship privilege, the insanity of deep blue cities in blue states is hidden from nearly everyone outside a city’s homestate. Some hipsters told me there are progressive cities and progressive cesspool cities. Seems the magic mix is a blue city within a red state. There has to be some limit function on the city’s insanity. Otherwise the only way to deal with the tragedy is to treat it as a comedy, right?

I was referring to the Army taking a side. The Army could only win against the American people in general like that if the veterans side with the Army.

If you are talking about an insurgency without the veterans, then obviously it will not go anywhere and the hobby insurgents would all be killed.

One misconception about the revolution is that the colonial troops were basically mere farmers with no military experience. In fact, the militia was far more experienced than the initial British regiments they sent over here.

Part of people's moral and emotional problem is there is no rootedness in our modern age. It's a symptom of the neoliberal economy and before that is fundamentally a symptom of mercantile people such as the fucking English.
