POLL - Why are GOP Congressmen resigning En Masse ?

Post by C-Mag » Fri Apr 27, 2018 1:42 pm

A large number of GOP Congressman are resigning and leaving DC........... Why ?

Recently Rep Brooks of Alabama has stated its fear of Assassination of themselves or family members. GOP Congressmen and their families have been under a barrage of threats and attacks. Including the ballpark assassination attempt.

It really doesn't make sense. They should be riding the wave. They control all 3 branches, the Economy is great, unemployment down, more taxes coming into the coffers......... what gives?

Brooks referred to the fact many members of the Republican baseball team are retiring, including Sen. Jeff Flake and Reps. Ryan Costello, Pat Meehan, Dennis Ross and Tom Rooney. There are also Gowdy and Chaffetz, I'll try to post a more comprehensive list.

I thought I would ask the Team for their opinion.

EDIT: Here's a list, I count 39

Maybe Trump is getting too tough on child exploitation crimes.

I think Gowdy wants out after learning how the sausage is made, though. He obviously wants to be a lawyer or prosecutor.

Think about being a kid going to the playground. At first you were just happy to be therehoping to find some friends to play with, as you gain experience you learn the lay of the land who is in charge of the swing set and slides. Then one day you find yourself pretty much running the bitch now something threatens that and instead of being humiliated you just quit going , you are not going to back to not running the playground. It's lot like that in Congress.
