Mueller's Indictments on Russians

Post by ssu » Fri Feb 16, 2018 5:27 pm

So Mueller's first indictments came.

I would suggest to read the actual paper Russia-Trump inquiry: Full text of Mueller's indictment. And not what commentators say about it.

Squarely focused on the Russian active measures. What's notable is that it's not just a "Russians on a Pro-Trump disinformation campaign" thing, the objective seems to be to sow distrust among Americans. Of course, that's an easy field to plow.

And note that it didn't end after the election, just on spec:
57. After the election of Donald Trump in or around November 2016, Defendants and their co-conspirators used false U.S. personas to organize and coordinate U.S. political rallies in support of then president-elect Trump, while simultaneously using other false U.S. personas to organize and coordinate U.S. political rallies protesting the results of the 2016 presidential election. For example, in or around November 2016, Defendants and their co-conspirators organized a rally in New York through one ORGANIZATION-controlled group designed to "show your support for President-Elect Donald Trump" held on or about November 12, 2016. At the same time, Defendants and their co-conspirators, though another ORGANIZATION-controlled group, organized a rally in New York called "Trump is NOT my President" held on or about November 12, 2016. Similarly, Defendants and their co-conspirators organized a rally entitled "Charlotte Against Trump" in Charlotte, North Carolina, held on or about November 19, 2016.

So what your saying is as sure as the sun shines Russia is practicing espionage against the United States?

Gee, can I have two scoops with that eye blinding revelation??

What is not being discussed now but may one day is how Ron Paul was the first Siberian Candidate.

The Russians just built on the Ron Paul Revolution.

Like you said though, the field could not be more plow friendly.

The Con game the US Govt plays is at a low ebb because the level of trust is at near record lows. How could a nation begin to trust its institutions again?

Becoming wealthier is the only way.

These indictments don't instill much confidence in the Special Counsel, in fact, makes him look like a clown.

Russian Influence Reached 126 Million Through Facebook Alone
By MIKE ISAAC OCT. 30, 2017
In its prepared remarks sent to Congress, Facebook said the Internet Research Agency, a shadowy Russian company linked to the Kremlin, had posted roughly 80,000 pieces of divisive content that was shown to about 29 million people between January 2015 and August 2017. Those posts were then liked, shared and followed by others, spreading the messages to tens of millions more people. Facebook also said it had found and deleted more than 170 accounts on its photo-sharing app Instagram; those accounts had posted about 120,000 pieces of Russia-linked content.
So Mueller went and indicted a bunch of Russians on shit Congress knew about in October. That's fantastic work, needed a Special Counsel for that.

I'm pretty sure other countries are going to respond by doing the same thing to American influence manipulators. I think this is a losing play.

Internet sleuths do better work than Bobby Mueller

This guy found that 2 of the Russians indicted got into the country in 2014 via the good graces of the State Department

@PoliticalShort

From #Mueller indictment, 2 of the Russians were able to enter U.S. on travel visas which they received after applying for them through the State Dept in 2014. From June 4, 2014 - June 26, 2014 they traveled around the US. Who was head of the FBI & State Dept at this time again?

You can see the logic well, third party candidates or candidates that rock the boat are in the focus of Russia. One might remember the famous photo of your hero general sitting with Putin. At the table was also Jill Stein. Of course, Ron Paul's ideology would naturally be what Putin would want to see: that the US pulled back and it's armed forces went back to the Continental US to eat apple pie.

And Ron Paul? Well, it comes to few in his team having worked in some organizations, that Russia has funded.

But as allways, Ron Paul, just as Donald Trump, weren't an invention of the Russkies. Their support was quite grass roots from the start.

Heck, every goddam American politician would be a Mossad agent if we would consider any links to foreign countries as evidence of being an agent.

Only those that feel endangered By the US.

First, Russia doesn't have Facebook or Twitter... or basically the people don't use them. And Russia has built a wall exactly to prevent similar infowar campaigns on them. Just as China has.

And they have already banned any kind of NGOs getting money from the US. (I remember both Russia and Belarus are quite tough on these)

US allies don't have to worry. Once, true story, France caught the US supporting "democracy" in France. They asked the US State Department "WTF guys?" and the State Department was hugely embarrassed as it had to admit it and naturally stopped the program. Seems that some American organization that didn't like French politics of that time had gotten somehow money for it and they (the State Department) hadn't noticed.

Likely it's not the last indictment, C-Mag.
