Alpine Skiing for the win

Post by K@th » Mon Feb 12, 2018 8:23 pm

I wanted to ski so much. Without any detail, the tl;dr version is a serious sledding injury led to a hesitant love affair with Alpine skiing in my late teens/20's. I had super easy slopes in Northern Illinois and Wisconsin, so I got to appreciate what it might be like to be free to go so fast. 'Tis why I belong to a club devoted to riding as many roller coasters as possible.

No point, really, I just love skiing and I love watching and when they crash I feel the feel and why not create another excuse to discuss why the 90th best player in grammar school nova scotia probably wont' be the number one pick in 12 years?

Cheers, kids... I love Alpine skiing.

I've had the greatest privelage in the world perhaps of having parents wealthy enough to take me on ski trips to SLC and Colorado. It was the best once I got the hang of it but I decided to snowboard having experience with skateboarding. I tried to get into skiing but by then I had gotten fairly decent at snowboarding and I didn't bother to stick with skiing. Any way I wish I chose skiing. Snowboarding is kind of degenerate. Skiing is implicitly White. I too wish I could ski.

I am watching that now via Australian TV. https://olympicson7.seven.com.au/live/48 has been a good watch for these olympics. VPN FTW!

My favorite is the speed skating. Dutch chicks owned it again today but the Japanese are closing the gap.

2 man luge left me with a WTF?
