Is the argument that the cash register jockeys at Walmart didn’t get a fair portion of the wealth *they* created returned to them?

Did you use the word "fair"?DBTrek wrote:Is the argument that the cash register jockeys at Walmart didn’t get a fair portion of the wealth *they* created returned to them?
Fairness has nothing to do with it. You either sign up for an aristocracy or wealth needs to be redistributed, there's no other option.

Perhaps the 99% reaped an amount proportionate to their direct influence in growing the economy, eh?
Since showing up to perform a task doesn’t generally create more jobs or generate new wealth, it’s unsurprising that people who do this (most of us) didn’t reap huge rewards for something we had no real part in.

Let's say you're half right, that half of Americans are "losers," (my terminology), and another 25% are incompetent for one reason or another (also a theory of mine), that still leaves 24% of Americans who are sucking wind. If liberty relies on democracy to exist, then you need to make damn sure you have 51% who are going to vote for it. The 1% don't care if there's liberty or not, they'll always have liberty, but the 49% that could benefit from it are going to vote for Collectivism because it's simply in their best interests if all the rewards go to the 1%.DBTrek wrote:Perhaps the 99% reaped an amount proportionate to their direct influence in growing the economy, eh?

Your imagination sucks if the only solution you can think of is redistribution, that shouldn't be the go to, that should be that the last resort. How about trying superior options first before going knee jerk redistribution?Martin Hash wrote:Did you use the word "fair"?DBTrek wrote:Is the argument that the cash register jockeys at Walmart didn’t get a fair portion of the wealth *they* created returned to them?

What does that have to do with going to shitty ass "Robin Hood Economics" redistribution as the go-to solution? Aside from nothing.Martin Hash wrote:Uhhh... The math. Compounded gains?
