StA told me it's nothing to worry about. Nothing to see here, I guess.

You didn't link to any of my posts, genius.
If you are referring to me pointing you towards the latest research indicating that the black death was, in fact, a viral hemorrhagic fever, that research does not somehow imply getting the new untreatable bubonic plague is no big deal. You have some serious rational handicaps. Bubonic plague is pretty easy to treat (usually). What we see now is something new. That could be pretty bad.
You are just a fucking tard so I don't expect you to grasp distinctions that are self-evident to most.

Re: Return of the BLACK DEATH!
Also, for one thing, if this bacteria kills within 3 hours, as horrific as that is for those who catch it, it's a lot better than the 21 days that the black death incubated and was communicable while the host had no idea they were going to die. The difference between 3 days and 21 days should also indicate to you that something is very different between this and the black death.. but lol, whatever, genius.

Re: Return of the BLACK DEATH!
Look I fully expect an outbreak of some disease to kill off a large number of humans within the next 20 years. That being said I'm not going to waste my time freaking out about the new doomsday disease every year. However it would be wise for us to keep a mindful eye on them because even a broken clock is right twice a day.GrumpyCatFace wrote:StA told me it's nothing to worry about. Please, the black plague is highly suspetbile to traditional antibiotics (because it doesn't' rear its ugly head that often). The reasons it's a problem in Africa is because Africa.....

Because this disease is extremely rare, it doesn’t get exposed to antibiotics that often,” he said.
“That means it’s more resistant to antibiotics and the risk of death is higher.”
However, he said if antibiotics are handed out quickly then the disease “can still be treated”.
Guessing the below statement (which is also in the same article) is due to a robo-journalists or just a plain ignorant journalist:
Less exposure = higher resistance?Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Dr Avison said because the disease is “extremely rare” it has been “resilient” to antibiotics.
