When nobody is relating socialism to the last refuge of the ideology, which would be North Korea, then likely young people will think it's a great idea contrary to the existing norms in the US.

Just look at how eager Americans were willing to believe in Obama after 8 years of Dubya.

That's the Basic problem. Americans think things would change if they just vote the right person to be the President. Quite a naive thought.
