So when did wanting a normal life become a conservative thing?

Post by The Conservative » Thu Oct 12, 2017 4:58 am

Someone said to me that having a complete family and thinking for ones self instead of having information spoon fed to you like the media and schools are doing, is a conservative viewpoint.

They said that it’s not best for everyone to think that way either.

Needless to say I was slightly taken aback when they said this to me.

Since when did these ideals become a conservative “Republican” talking point?

This person is operating in the nonsensical left-right paradigm in which most of the ideas on the "right" are also called "conservative". They sort of figured out that what we are calling the "left" is nothing more than societal and moral degeneracy, so they just assumed anything that doesn't lead towards ruin is "conservative".

They probably don't realize there exists an entire ecosystem of political ideas outside of that paradigm, or even that there used to be something that was left-liberal which wasn't degenerate.

I mean, I know I have autism and all, but this confuses the shit out of me. I mean when did wanting a family to stay together, to have it so that you teach kids responsibility, proper treatment of women/men, and themselves? Teach your kids to respect the opposite sex as a person and not an object? Teach them to look beyond color and judge people by actions and abilities?

Teach your kids that family comes before all else, that family time is important, that school is important, that thinking for yourself is important? To not take everything at face value is important?

These are the same people in my mind that want people to be in their own little boxes, that everything needs a label, that you are a victim of your situation even if you don't know it. I don't know how these people exist outside of their own bubbles... yet we see them on TV ranting and raving, screaming "not my president" and kicking trashcans over, smashing windows, and burning cars because of "reasons"...

I mean there is a time and place for everything, and I understand my views aren't the only ones that matter, but seriously, when did nostalgia for a family unit, and a successful family become a "Conservative thing"?

I thought people wanted to get out of broken families, one parent families? I thought they wanted to have us treat women/men with respect? I thought they wanted people to succeed?

I mean seriously, this confuses the shit out of me. I know how you are saying they are using the "left-right paradigm" but that only works so far, there is something seriously wrong with people thinking like this...

This has nothing to do with your autism. These people are sick, wrong, and stupid. All that matters to them is what they feel in the current moment, no thought for the future, no thought for the consequences, no thought for others.

This is the cultural marxist, millennial mindset, and surprise, surprise, its heavily influenced by female thought.

One big war, one big disease outbreak, one big real economical collapse or a combination of those....fyi we are overdue for each of those three things.....and we'll see if the idiots on the extreme left will think our way of life is really conservative or just plain smart from a survival standpoint.
There is a time for good men to do bad things.

For fuck sake, 1984 is NOT an instruction manual!

What kind of person was it that said this? That's pretty radical to actually vocalize that "thinking for yourself" and having a family is a bad thing. I thought those were beliefs that people could be brought up with or brainwashed with but that they wouldn't really acknowledge them or say them. It's almost paradoxical to make a conscious choice not to think for yourself and to go along with everything you're told.

I don't know about female thought, perhaps feelings? My wife and our female friends are smart enough to know when things sound fishy... or just wrong. Better than most women I know... (like at work)

Their response: (Best one I can show. The rest of their responses are unintelligible drivel about free thinking means not going back to conservative values... )
Change will always be needed as long as there are social problems like poverty, crime, etc. However, change should NOT be a rerun to some nostalgic ideal that didn’t work for everyone. That’s why I’ll never be able to jump on the conservative train, I don’t believe we were better. Because you’ll always have to say, “better for who?”

Generally, women put feelings over logic and reason, and also live more in the "now" than men do.

Even if they are smart enough to see when things sound fishy, they simply don't think like we do.

Guess my wife is unique.
