A 1960s F4 Phantom could have shot down the 9/11 hijackers... but it takes actually knowing what's going on and actually getting planes in the air to shoot down passenger jets, having a bunch of F35 fighters sitting on the ground like our jets were on 9/11 wouldn't do shit more than F15s on the ground did.

A 1960s F4 Phantom could have shot down the 9/11 hijackers... but it takes actually knowing what's going on and actually getting planes in the air to shoot down passenger jets, having a bunch of F35 fighters sitting on the ground like our jets were on 9/11 wouldn't do shit more than F15s on the ground did.

F-35's have full heads up tactical displays with real time logistics built in to the helmet. An F-35 pilot would have had a vast cyber optic array of information at his fingertips that would have allowed him to evaluate real time tactical read outs giving him freedom of on point chain of command battle field situational readiness further enabling him to execute crisis situation decisions on command.
