Not sure why you'd want to bring up Bolton. He is pretty much the epitome of "I want the benefits without the obligations and duties".

If it weren't for shitasses like Bolton, discussing the whole concept of a draft in America (of all places in the world) would be a silly academic exercise. I suppose we agree on that?
It's a bit asymmetrical for me, as I prefer no conscription, no slavery, no standing army, and I'd do away with voting above a VERY local level altogether.

They do not even fucking get it. Fife sees the freeloading problem when it is money, because he has to sacrifice for that. The freeloading of security, though, seems to totally escape him.

I can go for that, if I'm in charge of the Draft Board. No fucking lotteries.
Bolton, Pompeo, and their children if they have any, are on the first plane to Yemen. Put em in a fucking Saudi uniform and give a rifle and let them get to work.
