We knew one of these families at the time of the coup, and they got the summons back to Turkey. They didn't go back; instead they are still somewhere in the U.S. The ex-officer came out for my father's retirement in May.

Interesting

No doubt Gülen aligned. Most likely on their compound in Pennsylvania we know where they are. We've tried to send reporters out to no avail. The police aren't "permitted" there ie they don't use them they have their own.

I'll bet they just did that coup so they could have an excuse to flee to the US and get those sweet welfare bennies. Typical.katarn wrote:http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-40500182

There true problem was that they worked in NATO. Nearly all if not all of those in contact with the US, like through NATO, were considered possible traitors. This btw was reported as the Erdogan purge happened. Erdogan made it clear that he will replace all the staff that worked with the Americans. So they are in limbo still.katarn wrote:http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-40500182
