Oscar Perez, a CICPC (their FBI) inspector is supposedly behind this. Earlier he flew around in a helicopter with a banner proclaiming "Articulo 350", an article in the Venezuelan constitution that says the people have a right to rebel against/ignore a government that ignores them:

Apparently someone stole a helicopter and was lobbing hand grenades at their Supreme Court from it. Can't make this shit up. Also heard it was a military officer.

Their dictator, Maduro recently said "If Venezuela was plunged into chaos and violence and the Bolivarian Revolution destroyed, we would go to combat ... what couldn't be done with votes, we would do with weapons."
