Well, they're refusing to describe the suspect so we can start inferring that he's Islamic

I've never even heard of this guy before though so that makes me think its wrong place right time

Gotta figure he was targeted, though there were other lawmakers present. A Congressman (Ron DeSantis) who was there earlier is reporting right now that "some guy" in the parking lot asked him whether the players were Republicans or Democrats. An aid was also shot. There were between ten and fifteen lawmakers on the field. They're saying fifty shots fired.
