Back-in-the-day, Columbus, et. al., weren't anathema, and history basically began with White people.GrumpyCatFace wrote:400 years?

Right... Whatever. Still a good speech. The starving 8-year-old was a gut punch.Martin Hash wrote:Back-in-the-day Columbus, et. al. weren't anathema, and history basically began with White people.GrumpyCatFace wrote:400 years?

It's the same thing because now we are dealing with boomers' children. The generation of the people who wrote that script and who are acting it out are many of gen x's parents.
I grew up with: "Oh you think it sucks because you have to eat <x> and not <y>, and the system is against you? Let me tell you about how I grew up.."
Millennials grew up with: "This homework of yours is racist. I will go to the school and berate your teacher tomorrow morning. You deserved a trophy last night even though your team lost. Oh, you don't want to eat vegetables? That's fine, honey. We will just order some pizza. You have to stand up to the man like we did when we went to college. Did you know your father, such a brave man, took a stand against the Vietnam War and escaped to Canada for ten years?"
