Bill 'the Leprechaun' O'Reilly got fired by FOX today.

For something like the last 15 years he has been the most popular TV News personality in the Business. Back in the day, this would have been like Walter Kronkite getting fired.

FOX has to know that they could have kept him on and easily replaced the sponsors. I think everyone knows he will land on his feet after this, probably even another show.

They might have been looking for a way to get the younger Carlson up to the top spot while he's hot and before Bill sours with old age, and this seemed as opportune a time as any.

The guy was too smug & pompous for my taste but he was good. Carlson is the perfect choice to replace him.
