Explosion in St. Petersburg Metro

A suspected bomb blast inside a car of the St. Petersburg Metro system has resulted in casualties among passengers. The entire transit system is shut down as bomb squads and rescuers respond to the emergency.

The St. Petersburg governor’s office said there were as many as 50 victims in the incident, including 10 fatalities. Two of the injured have been taken for surgery while two others are being prepared for operation.

Suicide bomb related to IS or remote detonated/timed bomb from one of the seperatist groups in the Russian Federation. Or even a combo: Chechen seperatist terrorists declaring allegience to IS.

It isn't obvious in this case, though. Chechen seperatists are real, ISIS is real and both hate the Kremlin. That Putin has no scruples about killing his own people, is not evidence that all terrorism in Russia is some sort of false flag operation.

Sort of like the provenance of the revolt in Ukraine was genuine, popular and homegrown, even if the US and EU tried to influence it for their own gains. And like the US electorate really were (and are) fed up with the elites, even if the Kremlin tried to capitalize on it for their own gains.

Two things can be true...at the same time. :shock:
