This story is based upon an editorial in the Yucatan Times, which itself is based upon a single Facebook post written by a Peruvian tourist. You'd think in this day and age, someone would have a camera phone to film this egregious act. I could not find the original author of the post on facebook, though I did find the post oft repeated dated 3/6/17.
