His analysis is poorly thought out, fails to take into account; the American paradigm, it's not France, it's not Russia, any sort of uprising in the United States would be from the RIght, against the Left, and it wouldn't blame and then terrorize the rich, quite the opposite, it would be the poor and minorities who would be scapegoated and then targeted, if there is a European model which applies, it's not Bourbon France, it's not Imperial Russia, it's Weimar Germany.

If America blows up into another revolution, it's not going World Socialist, I mean, please. Nobody would be overthrowing the plutocrats, you'd just be getting Nuclear Hitler for realz, although, probably more like Nuclear Pinochet actually.

All these Americans on the left who like to presage an American uprising, rest assured, if you ever tipped the Apple Cart, you wouldn't get Che Guevara, you'd get Stonewall Jackson, don't kid yourselves.

I'm an American socialist, and I tend to agree.

But.

The increasing wealth gap with an ever greater percentage of the wealth going to an ever smaller percentage of the population is a serious threat. I believe a growing percentage of the general population is becoming disenchanted with the current conventional stories of so called "Left" and "Right" explaining what the problems are, whose''s responsible, and how to saw them.
Further, the government on all levels in much of country is failing, or starting to.

All this increasing pressure will probably lead to an explosion. If, or when, that happens whether it's a variation of the New Deal, the French Revolution, a Pinochet, or something else...I think all bets will be off.

This fellow doesn't even know his history, whether it was Bourbon France, Imperial Russia, or Weimar Germany, in none of those cases was "inequality" actaully the catalyst for revolution, in all three cases, the catalyst was that the state first suffered a catastrophic loss in a world war, and then went flat broke as a result, so call me when America loses a war for all the marbles catastrophically, and then goes flat broke, otherwise, I wouldn't hold your breath, Bolshies.
