Shooting in Florida

Five people are dead and a shooting suspect is in custody Friday after a lone gunman opened fire at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida without saying a word, witnesses and authorities say.
Seems pretty fresh. I don't think they know much yet.

Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida said on MSNBC that the shooter is named Esteban Santiago and that the man was carrying a military identification. The network reported the man was born in 1990.

Sounds like second active shooter on site, potentially?

Ugh.

"He was shooting people that were down on the ground, too," Schlicher said.

The gunman apparently got down on the ground and waited for police to arrive after he ran out of bullets, a witness told CBS News.
Would be difficult to avoid trying to murder him right there.

They are going to execute him anyway, though. Florida doesn't fuck around.

Hmm... not your average psycho rampage. This smells planned. First shooter conducts a diversion inside the unsecured baggage claim area, giving the second shooter/s a chance to slip inside the terminal. I wonder if they had a specific target?

Edit: Now they are saying it was just the one guy... That's real-time coverage for you.

I have to fly out of FLL in a couple of weeks. Think the mandatory anal probes will be in place by then?
Account abandoned.

I understand that when you are allowed to check a piece, it has to be unloaded.

Can you check ammo also?

Does anyone know the answer to this question? I don't.

Firearms must be unloaded and stored in a locked container (that the authorities can open on their own). Small arms ammunition can be stored in the same box as the firearm, as long as it is not loaded.

Obviously, none of this is carry on.
